Ice is not my friend
As some of you know, on Tuesday I went to the hardest workout class of my life. This class, that could have only been invented by the devil himself, made every single muscle in my body so sore that I can hardly walk. Well, today I decided to wear my below zero North Face jacket on the way to work because it is really cold in Dallas. Most of my walk to work is in-doors in the "underground" (Dallas had tunnels that run under most of the downtown buildings). Well, there is this one spot along my walk that you can either walk through this outdoor courtyard or go around it through a hallway. I was so hot with this dang below zero jacket on that I decided to walk through the outdoor courtyard...BTW, I never walk through the courtyard. So, I'm walking and not paying attention to what I am doing because I am still half asleep and step right on a patch of ice. My legs both went different directions and I fell right onto my right knee and then on my butt. I lived through 5 winters in Fayettville and never slipped on ice! Anyway, all the security guards from the Bank of America building came rushing out to help me up and to make sure I was ok. I was fine...just a little embarrassed. They also wanted to see if I wanted to file a complaint...I was so embarrassed that I just said no, no, I'm fine, I promise. Thinking back...maybe I should have. I could have been living on the top floor of the Bank of America building! Well, maybe just a free doctors visit at least! So, now every muscle in my body hurts and my knee is black and blue! I'll never underestimate Dallas' winter weather again!
