The Dachshund has made the AKC's Top 10 Dog Breeds of 2008! Obviously my favorite breed came in at #7 for 2008. Here is a blurb from about.com:

I thought this was a perfect description of Belle and Lucy...well, except for the skills to work and hunt part...as most of you know, Belle and Lucy definitely lack the necessary skills to survive in the wild! They are most at home when they are on the couch with two blankets and a few pillows!
